My dad had a maroon 850 for a few months or so back when I was in middle school. He traded it in for a ST165 Celica All-Trac and was much happier.

840's are arguably worth more than early 850's
at least that what asking prices seem to indicate.

not where I live, 850's are all more than double what people want for 840's, except for one 840 that a guy has swapped an S62 from an M5 into it. He wants bonkers money.

if you dont mind me asking, where about do you live?
i never see more than 50 or so for sale across the entire us at any one time.
also note, the ~95-97 850Cis, had a more pwerful engine than the earlier 91 to ~93 850i’s. and were made in much smaller quantities. so that may be what youre seeing.

These ones were sitting on private property of a business that is still up and running so I guess they can sit there since they aren’t bothering anyone.
I’m assuming they are the landlords or business owners.
